I love the portability of Paintball Tanks...but have never been fond of the adapters.  I don't even play paintball.  My son has an air rifle that uses the Pin Valve (same as paintball tanks)...so I have a fill adapter for it when I fill him up from my siphon tank.  And it works fine to adapt to the Beer Regulator...but it's just more junk.  More chance to leak.

I found a CGA 320 valve on eBay...and was I ever excited about that.  A bit too much money, if you ask me...but I figure if I leak less CO2...maybe in the long run it will pay for itself.  Now MY paintball tank has a regular valve on it.  I don't have to use any adapters to fill it or use it with my kegerator or jockey box.  It even came with the o-ring seal on the end so you don't have to use the paper or vinyl washer when connecting it.

Cool little device...I'm very happy with it!

Hey!  I bought "The Adapter" and love it.  I first bought what i thought was a paintball adapter from Williams Brewing, but it's an actual fitting.  To make it work, you need to remove the regular fitting from your regulator, then put the willliams adapter on.  I nearly tore up the brass trying to remove the fitting from the regulator!  The Adapter is truly an adapter where it fits between your regular co2 regulator and a paintball tank.  Combine this with a 2.5gallon corny in a cooler and I'm mobile with my homebrew!  Cheers!  Grin

The above link takes you to the page so you can see The-Adapter.  I didn't buy mine from these guys but there probably sold around on the web.
